Second Best Advice

In the midst of our many fights over the summer, when my friends could see how torn I really was even through the silence of infuriating words, a friend of mine said something to me,

"Sometimes, it's better just to say nothing at all."

It was that moment that I shut off my phone and had... just a minute... of peace.

Until I returned home to hear your indignation of how I could possibly ignore you... you had the audacity to say such a thing to me when you chose to secure your back turned towards me.

Yeah...
